Dr. Carla Courtney

Dr. Courtney was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. She attended Loras College, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, Psychology, and Chemistry in 1988. She then received her doctorate degree in Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1992. Since then, Dr. Courtney has practiced in the Quad Cities area. From 2006 until 2015 she owned her own practice in Durant; subsequently, she merged her practice with the Eye Care Pavilion. Dr. Courtney is a member of the Iowa Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

​​​​​​​Dr. Courtney currently resides in Davenport with her husband, John, two children, Allison and Joseph, and two dogs, Herbie and Jack. She enjoys spending time with her family and pets, and her interests include playing golf, gardening, camping, fishing, and other outdoor activities. Dr. Courtney has spent many years helping coach her daughter’s softball team and now enjoys helping coach a local 12U travel team. She also volunteers her time with the Davenport Host Noon Lions Club, helping with their flag project and assisting with vision screenings when she can.
